The Korean-script mark 컴플리트 엘릭서 was filed in Class 3 one day after the Latin-script COMPLETE ELIXIR application, covering the same 15 goods
Complete Elixir Skincare Inc. has filed a second trademark application with the Korean Intellectual Property Office. The mark is 컴플리트 엘릭서, the Korean-script rendering of the brand name, filed on September 18, 2026, Korea time, in Class 3, cosmetics. It designates the same 15 goods as the application filed the previous day for the Latin-script mark COMPLETE ELIXIR, which carries application number 40-2026-0196763.
Filing both scripts was deliberate rather than duplicative. In the Korean market a brand name is written, searched, reviewed and spoken in Hangul far more often than in Latin characters, and a registration covering only the Latin form leaves the Hangul form thinly protected. Holding both means the name is covered in the form customers actually type.
As with the first application, the filing was prepared and submitted directly through KIPO's online system rather than through a trademark firm, and the application is held in the founder's own name. That follows the pattern the company has used in every market it has entered: Canadian cosmetic notification, U.S. MoCRA registration and Korean import registration were all handled in-house by a company of two.
A further application in Class 41, covering education services, is in preparation under the same Hangul mark. Complete Elixir runs a training programme for working estheticians alongside its product line.
In Korea nobody types our name in English. They type it in Hangul, they search it in Hangul, and they write their reviews in Hangul. Registering only the English form would have protected the version of the name that almost nobody uses there. It is the same reasoning as owning the lab instead of renting one - you protect the thing people actually touch.
