Dry and Depleted

Short of water, and of the oil that keeps it in.

Why does my skin feel dry no matter what I use?

This skin is low on water and on the oils that hold it in, so it tightens fast and nothing seems to last. Put water in first, then seal it with oil.

What usually helps
  • Massage with a treatment oil, then a gentle gel cleanse
  • Hydrating serum on damp skin, sealed with a ceramide serum
  • A lipid mask once or twice a week
What to pause
  • Foaming cleansers
  • Hot water on the face
  • Exfoliating to remove flakes
Ingredients to look for
  • Multi weight hyaluronic acid
  • Ceramides
  • Linoleic rich seed oils
When skincare is not enough

Dryness with cracking, bleeding, intense itch or rough red patches should be checked by a doctor or dermatologist.
